This week we are listing a series of antique irons from an estate in Maine. The person had a small collection of early irons that he had on display. Most are in very good condition. Please check our listings for additional irons. Nice antique coal sad flat iron marked WB Cummings, N Taliaferro & E Bless Patented 1852. The vent has an embossed portrait of an old man attributed to being Vulcan the god of fire. This is heavy cast iron with a wood handle that retain its pull pin for the coal. In very good condition. Measures approximately 9 3/8" tall x 7" long x 4" at widest point.

Description
Elegant six piece silver plate tea service or tea set made by Reed & Barton.  The set displays beaded top rim and beaded accent on top of each footed base.  The body of the tea set displays acanthus leaves on the lower 1/4 ascending to bright cut and embossed shield, alternating panels of bright cut and smooth vertical panels completed with two bright cut bands on the top and bottom of the design.  All are in excellent condition
- the smallest tea pot feels a bit out of round
.  There is no silver loss to the set.  It is starting to tarnish and might need a thorough polishing.  The underside is marked Reed & Barton 1928.  Consists of the following pieces:
Waste bowl 6 1/4" tall x 5 1/8" diameter at the top x 3 1/2" diameter at the base
Tea Pot, Hot Water, and Coffee Pot -  13 1/2", 12 1/2", 12" tall
Creamer - 6" tall
Sugar with Lid - 10 3/4" tall
