I sure hope so because I have very little info on this item. I don't know where it came from, or what is written on the scroll or the fan or even how old it is. I don't know if I took pictures with the writing upside-down (if so, my apologies).
Most likely originated in China.
There are no figure like birds or animals, only script.
I believe the scroll is Shu brocade and the fan is silk, but that is a guess, not  guarantee. The cloth-covered box measures 15-1/4 inches long x 7-3/4 inches wide x 2-1/2 deep
The box and velvet and contents are in pretty good condition, some rubbing on the corners & edges of the box, loops for the slide closures are intact.
I do NOT use "Stock Photos". Every item I sell has an individual scanned picture so you can see what you are REALLY getting.
